Florida Native
Greg Brewton is a Florida native. He graduated from Dillard High School and received his Bachelors degree in Urban Planning & Design from Michigan State University (MSU). Greg worked for the City of Fort Lauderdale for more than 35 years in the capacity of Planning and Zoning Director for the Department of Sustainable Development. The Sustainable Development Department encompasses five major divisions within the City, the departments of Planning & Zoning, Building Services, Community Redevelopment, Neighborhood Revitalization, and Economic Development.
During his tenure with the City, Greg was in charge of administrating all regulatory provisions dealing with private development activities including zoning, regulatory interpretations, platting, board of adjustments, and construction codes.
